Hardware Retailing Magazine originally lived on the company’s website: nrha.org. The out-of-date and crowded website was holding the magazine back from achieving its optimum advertising potential. The NRHA decided to create a brand new website solely for Hardware Retailing, but they weren’t sure where to begin. They turned to me to put together a timeline and process for each stage of the project. I built this website from the ground up; wireframing and navigation structure, setting up the servers and front-end/back-end development. The site uses WordPress to allow editors to easily make changes with no coding knowlege. I developed widgets to help specifically with this task. I also made the website responsive for tablets and mobile devices.
At the same time, I managed the project for the Hardware Retailing mobile app. I created the designs and worked with freelance developers to ensure everything stayed on time and on budget.
